Deryk brings a variety of knowledge and skills ranging from research and grants management to contract administration. Deryk is the current Chair of the Priorities, Allocations and Policies committee of the Greater Hampton Roads HIV Health Services Planning Council (Norfolk TGA) overseeing, among other duties, the identification of datasets and needs for PSRA while coordinating with other committees to facilitate the exchange of information.
Prior to joining CR, Deryk worked at the LGBT Life Center, the largest community based organization in the Greater Hampton Roads area. At the LGBT Life Center, Deryk served as a grant analyst and assisted in supporting numerous grant-funded programs including: Ryan White Parts A & B, Centers for Disease Control, Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS and the Virginia Department of Health.

Deryk is a graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. At Radford, Deryk was honored with the Outstanding Service to the Department of Sociology Award and the Outstanding Scholar Citizen Award.
